This is hilarious. Eminem, the notoriously homophobic lily-white American rapper, just had Sacha Baron Cohen's are ass lowered onto his face at an awards show.
He did not look happy. Maybe it was planned, maybe it wasn't. But it's hilarious - it's exactly what Eminem deserves. I had to watch it a few times.
Obviously a publicity stunt for his upcoming movie Bruno (coming out July 10).
Alice in Wonderland (Love).
Johnny Depp (Love).
Tim Burton (Love).
Filming has started in Britain (in Cornwall). Mia Wasikowska (from Australia) will play Alice, but more importantly, Johnny Depp is going to play the Mad Hatter! I can't wait, he's always so amazing in pushing eccentric just a bit too far. I thought he was fantastic in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (and pretty amazing in everything else to be honest). The Johnny Depp/Tim Burton combination never ceases to be fantastic though.
Just look at the examples:
Sweeney Todd
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
Edward Scissor Hands
I can't wait to see what happens with the characters. It is a children's story, but there are so many drug/psychedelic/existential possibilities within the stories that Tim Burton will probably be able to play off it and make it extremely modern and relevant like he's done in his other movies.
Sorry, this isn't going to a sexual post objectifying youths. Not today anyway (although who knows what the future will bring!) If that disappoints you, I'm sure a quick google search will find a variety of far more sordid things than my blog.
I'm excited because today, I just received the movie St. Trinian's. It is honestly one of the funniest (if not THE funniest) movies I have ever seen. It wasn't released in North America so I had to go through a bit of an ordeal to get it. I ordered it on amazon.co.uk, to a friend's address; after he got it, he posted it to me. The whole process ended up taking nearly a month. BUT I HAVE IT!
Here's the trailer:
Rupert Everett alone makes the movie. Russell Brand is pretty good in it too (who I love). There ends up being this amazing sexual tension between Rupert Everett and Colin Firth too. It's generally hilarious, and the music is even better.
I know that Hello! isn't always the most scholarly source, but I'll believe them about this because I want to!
Which is how it's supposed to work.
Jason Segel (Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Knocked Up) is doing another muppet movie, and apparently the muppet show could come back? That would be fantastic! I love the muppets - I just watched the muppet's Wizard of Oz a few months ago, and I don't care if it's supposed to be for little children I still enjoyed it - it wasn't as good as some of the muppet movies, but it was good. I was loving Queen Latifah as Auntie Em.
I actually posted a few muppet clips a very, very long time ago in this blog. This is one of the videos I posted before:
How can those pink things not make you smile!? They always make me laugh - if you don't like them, then YOU HAVE NO SOUL.
Come on!
I didn't even post any of Miss Piggy's videos because her raw sexuality is just too much for me tonight.
Apparently this is just not the summer for blogging! I've wanted to, things have just been a little hectic. After I quit work, I went away for a weekend, and things have just been really busy from there. This whole exchange is alot more work than it seems like! I've done ridiculous amounts of paperwork, and the biggest problem was no matter how hard I tried I couldn't find a flat online.
There are lot's of websites for trying to find flats online, but some people wouldn't respond, and I was really worried about trying to rent a flat that I'd never seen in a neighbourhood that I'd never been to. So there was only one solution...
I put together a little video last night -it's not very informative, but I like it better this way!
Oh, and I randomly put in my new necklace that I got in Vancouver on the weekend. I reallly love it. Apparently it's the only one that Holts got in, so that's good! I love having stuff that no one else has.
